Rick is a 40-year veteran of the building industry with a distinguished track record in real estate development. Over the course of his career, Rick has acquired, entitled, and developed more than 6,500 residential lots and has overseen the construction of more than 12,000 single-family homes and apartments.

As an executive with The Griffin Company, a fifth-generation family office development firm and one of the largest builders in California, Rick led land development and operations, managing the entitlement and construction of thousands of residential units. During his tenure with Griffin, he oversaw development and construction of more than 12,000 homes and apartments. He has led all facets of the development process, including land acquisition and planning, entitlements, architecture, engineering, construction management, general contractor oversight, scheduling, budgeting, financial proformas, and market analysis. Most recently, he directed the entitlement and development of ground-up senior housing and assisted living communities across the Western United States.

Rick has also been active in industry leadership, serving as President of the Ventura County Building Industry Association and on multiple industry boards. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served as a commissioned officer before receiving an honorable discharge.
